You win some and then you lose some! It was a rough week for the NYSE and Nasdaq as a whole. As you can see below, it was a weak 5 days in every sector. Overall, it was an 11 for 26 week. A great week overall for Energy related stocks, as well as my favorite coffee hang out, Dunkin Brands Group, Inc., who announced an expansion of their business in India.
As a rule of thumb, always invest in high yielding dividend paying stocks for your retirement years. Much like the stocks listed below, you will be covered with quarterly dividends if the stocks just so happen to drop in value. Continue to hold on to your stocks for the long term so the dividends have plenty of time to compound.
