Update: Dividend Stock Picks for the Week of 2/18/13 to 2/22/13

Welcome back to Dividend Stock Investing for the Common Man! Thank you stopping by and supporting the idea of investing in dividend paying stocks for the long term. I hope everyone had a great week!

I wanted to recap last week's picks for you since it is important to review all investments on a weekly, if not daily, basis. It was a 7 for 20 week. 35% of my picks increased in value. It was a so-so week to invest in dividend paying stocks for both the NYSE and NASDAQ. Some of my picks flew sky high, others.. not so much. The market was up and down for those who invested earlier in the week. Continue to pick up dividend aristocrats on any pull backs and hold for long haul. I am a long term bull!

See below for more details... as well as some wonderful YouTube videos pertaining to The Wendy's Company(NASDAQ:WEN), which rose $0.22 per share this past week. A nice percentage gain! Also, check out the books below. Very interesting reads!

DSIFTCM is NOT affiliated with any of these companies. I am not a professional stock picker and am only providing my personal opinions of some of the greatest dividend paying companies!

It is not how many times you win short term, but rather which investments can provide you with a steady income stream over the long term. When investing in dividend paying stocks you are protecting yourself from stock market volatility. If the market goes down one quarter, the dividend payment will help recoup the losses. Let these companies work hard so they can maintain their dividend and increase it year over year. As a shareholder, it is like receiving a raise each year. Reinvest your dividends to maximize your profits!

Keep investing as much as you can on a daily or weekly basis. Perform your due diligence and invest in companies that you feel comfortable with. Do not risk your hard earned dollars by investing in unknown, unreliable companies.

Always remember, YOU are in charge of your financial life. Do not let anyone tell you how to spend your money. We all have the knowledge and smarts inside of us. Make smart investments! Until next time friends, Like Us on Facebook, Follow Us on Twitter and feel free to comment below. What are some of your favorite dividend paying stocks?

Update: Stock Picks for the week of 5/7/12 to 5/11/12

Welcome back to Dividend Stock Investing for the Common Man! Thank you stopping by and supporting the idea of investing in dividend paying stocks for the long term. I wanted to recap last week's picks for you since it is important to review all investments on a weekly, if not daily, basis.

You win some and then you lose some! It was a rough week for the NYSE and Nasdaq as a whole. As you can see below, it was a weak 5 days in every sector. Overall, it was an 11 for 26 week. A great week overall for Energy related stocks, as well as my favorite coffee hang out, Dunkin Brands Group, Inc., who announced an expansion of their business in India.

As a rule of thumb, always invest in high yielding dividend paying stocks for your retirement years. Much like the stocks listed below, you will be covered with quarterly dividends if the stocks just so happen to drop in value. Continue to hold on to your stocks for the long term so the dividends have plenty of time to compound. Feel free to watch the videos below featuring Dunkin Brands Group, Inc., Kimberly Clark Corp., and Verizon Communications, Inc. All three companies will inject your Roth IRA stock portfolio with stability and profits via quarterly dividends

Until next time.. I wish you nothing but the best during your investing years. Perform your due diligence for each of these quality dividend payers below. Happy investing, reinvest those dividends and let your smart investment decisions work for you!
